There are so many opportunities these days to choose from. When I was no longer able to work a regular 9-5 job because of an injury, I looked for a christian work from home business. I wasn’t really sure where to look so I just looked into almost every work from home business that I could find.

I really don’t understand the concept of a christian work from home business. If you are a christian and you have a home business, isn’t that considered the same thing? Of course, selling pornography and other explicit materials isn’t the “christian” thing to do. But what justifies a home business to be such a business? Do I only sell Bibles and Crucifix to qualify as a christian work from home business?

We love to put titles on things these days. What I have come to realize is that, being a Christian myself, I consider my work from home business as a Christian home business. Below is a list of things why I have come to this conclusion:

1) I help people find the right business
2) I am always avaliable to help
3) I care for them and give of myself
4) I treat everyone as a neighbor
5) I put their needs before mine

How long does the list has to be before I qualify? There are terrible people that sell great things. Because someone sell certain things shouldn’t qualify that business to be known as a christian home business. I think that it should start with the person themselves, and of course what they are selling.

I just wrote this small article to hopefully bring attention to what we happen to call a “christian work from home business.” Being a christian, first of all, is all about a relationship. If we continue to use such names, then I think that we need to take inventory of ourselves as well as what we are promoting. Just something to think about before you slap that name on your business.
